Leonard J. Baun's Obituary
Leonard J. Baun passed away peacefully on January 2, 2017 with his wife by his side at his home in Cinnaminson where he resided for 55 years. Born in Youngstown, OH in 1928, Len was 88 years old.
Beloved husband of Frances M. Baun (nee Resch). Loving father of Christina (Gary Frisch) Daniels, Jeanette Golden and Georgeanne (Frank) Bruzzese. Grandpa to Harry (Amanda) Lane, Kyle Lane, Arielle Golden, Gianna Bruzzese, Olivia Daniels, Ryan Golden, Richy Golden, Dante Bruzzese and Giuliana Bruzzese, and Great Grandpa to Ada Elise Lane.
Son of the late Leonard and Mary Baun and brother of the late Evelyn Beil, Len is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Leonard is a Veteran and proudly served his country in the US Army Air Corps.
Len graduated from Youngstown State and was employed as an electrical engineer for the RCA Corporation and then General Electric, where he was responsible for numerous patents.
He was a proud punster, organic gardener, licensed pilot, world traveler, avid NY Times Crossword puzzler, Cleveland Browns, Phillies and Eagles fan, and talented self-taught musician who played the accordion, guitar, piano, organ and harmonica.
Leonard was a dedicated family man and devoted husband to his sweetheart, Frances Baun. He will be missed by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Len’s Life Celebration and viewing Friday 9-10 a.m. at Givnish Funeral Home, 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ. His funeral mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo, 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson. Interment will be private at Forest Hills Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
