Lillian Olga Trindle's Obituary
Lillian Olga Trindle (née Verrill), a longtime resident of Maple Shade and Marlton, passed away peacefully on October 14th at the age of 94.
Beloved wife of the late William L. Trindle, Lillian was the devoted daughter of David J. Verrill Jr. and Olga T. Fitzwanger. She was the loving mother of Linda Wilkinson and Michael W. Trindle (Leigh) and the cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Jennifer). Lindsay, Caitlin (Steven) and Danielle (Matthew) and great grandmother of Krista, Aiden, Brian, Lillian, Parker and Connor.
Born in Philadelphia, Lillian graduated from Frankford High School. She met her future husband, William, in a memorable encounter while he was playing pool with her father. Both men were police officers, and when William asked about the young woman nearby, her father jokingly warned, “Watch it — that’s my daughter.” That meeting began a lifelong love story, and the two were married for 56 wonderful years until William’s passing in 2009.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Lillian’s life on Saturday, November 1st, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Givnish of Marlton, 398 E. Main Street, followed by a service and family sharing at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place Monday, Nov. 3rd at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 West County Line Rd., Huntingdon Valley PA., 19006. Procession will leave funeral home 9:45am or meet at cemetery 10:45am.
