Loretta V. Horgan
(nee Quirk) passed away peacefully on November 18, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia, Loretta was 72 years old. She was a resident of Palmyra since 1975. Beloved wife of 42 years to John C. Horgan. Loving mother of John C. (Melissa) Horgan, Jr., Siobhan Horgan, the late Michael Horgan, Bridget Horgan and Matthew Horgan. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Connor, Gavin and Amelia. Sister of William F. Quirk, Jr., Carole Smith, Claire Harris, Lawrence Quirk, Mary Vilitski and Robert Quirk. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Loretta enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed summers down in Sea Isle and fondly recalled her childhood summers in the Poconos. She was proud to be a Cardinal Dougherty graduate, class of 1961. Following graduation, she worked at Bell Telephone for many years. Loretta developed many lasting friendships and was a woman of great faith as a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Riverton, NJ. She was an incredible game player and would challenge anyone to a game of Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble or Shanghai. Loretta left a legacy of love for her husband and children that they will cherish and share for generations to come. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Loretta’s Life Celebration and viewing Tuesday Eve 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday 9-10:30 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Riverton. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park.
