Lorraine Marie Reda's Obituary
Lorraine Reda was raised with her younger sister, Jeanne, in Atlantic City, NJ above their parent’s beloved Italian restaurant, “Gino’s”. She met her husband, Joe, in Atlantic City where he was visiting while a student at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. They married in 1968 and eventually settled in Moorestown, NJ to raise their three daughters, Jen, Julie and Lindsey.
As they raised their daughters, Joe and Lorraine were lovers of travel, and somehow planned elaborate family trips to Europe, the west coast of the U.S. and Canada, New England, Florida, and more, without the internet! Wintertime always meant memorable family ski trips where she flew down the slopes like a pro.
She was a true “Jersey Girl” who spent a lifetime enjoying the shore where she and Joe hosted countless friends and family members every summer in their Longport summer home. She loved to declare “Today was a 10!” at the end of a perfect beach day, followed by a noisy family dinner with all of her grandchildren and a walk to the Margate Dairy Bar.
More than anything, she will be remembered for her deep and abiding faith and love for the Lord Jesus Christ, and her conviction and anticipation of meeting Him someday and singing His praises for eternity. We are immeasurably comforted in knowing she is with Him now. We will love you and miss you until we see you again, Mom! Xoxo
A memorial service for Lorraine will be announced at a later date.
