Lorriane Rocco's Obituary
Lorraine Shannon (Matteo) Rocco of Mt. Laurel passed away peacefully at Voorhees Senior Living on July 8, 2023. She was born Lorraine Louise Shannon in Mt. Holly, NJ, on September 19, 1932.
Lorraine lived a vibrant and productive life. She was an elementary school teacher, a real estate agent with Weichert, and a lifelong writer. She wrote regularly for the Philadelphia Inquirer and authored three books. Her last book, Secrets of the Heart, was well-received.
Lorraine was predeceased by her son, Gregory Holowach, her brother Frank Shannon, and her sister Peggy Coleman. She is survived by her daughter Shannon Sanford; four grandchildren, Justin Teri, Jessica Teri, Ian Teri, and Saige Sanford; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved sister-in-law, Shirley Shannon.
A graveside memorial will be held at Mt. Holly Cemetery on August 7th.
