Louis J Petti's Obituary
Louis Joseph Petti, Loudad, of Cinnaminson died at home on October 15th at the age of 93.
Lou served in World War II playing trombone in the US Army Band. He graduated from LaSalle University in 1951 with a BA in Biology and immediately married Rosana “Dolly” Lisanti. They raised their family of two girls and five boys in Delran.
He worked with epoxies such as Loc-Tite at Hysol. He also worked for RCA and General Electric where he worked as a power supply engineer for the space program. He worked in biomedical electronics at Hoffman LaRoche and he was also a salesman for several industrial chemical companies. In June of 2021, he launched his own LLC, D & L Supply which specialized in industrial chemical products.
In his retirement, Lou took fine art instruction from Jocelyn Tice and went on to win several awards for his paintings through the Burlington County Senior Art Shows. Many of his paintings reflected his love of traveling to Italy.
Family was important to Lou. He enjoyed weeknight dinners with his children and weekends with his dear love, Peggy Rhoads and her family. He could make a mean batch of limoncello, tell a good joke, and his marinara was unparalleled. He loved James Taylor and Jeopardy.
Lou was a parishioner at St. Peter’s in Riverside and St. Charles Borromeo in Cinnaminson. Dolly and Lou were involved in youth ministry with Discovery Ministries, Inc.and Holy Cross High School for many years. He also supported many charities including the Special Olympics.
Lou was the beloved husband of the late Rosana “Dolly” Petti. Loving son of the late Luigi and Michelina Petti. Devoted father to Margaret “Peg” Smith (the late Shelden), Robert G. (Kathleen), Christopher L. (Cynthia), Mark A. (Victoria), Susan M. Renzi (Jerry), Louis J. Jr (Mary), Neal M. (Denise). Adoring grandfather of Shelden “Dooner” Smith, Rebecca Petti, Alexis Petti, Rachel Waldman PA-C (Joseph), Nicholas Petti (Mamie), Amy Pfeiffer (Shawn), Richard Manco (Casey), Gina (Antonino Baldasari), Mark Petti, Jr, Jason Petti, Erika Lawfer (Nathan), Michael Renzi (Stephanie), Lindsay Petti, Brittany Petti, Krista Petti, Michaelina Petti and Gianni Petti. Great grandfather of Joseph and Isabel Waldman, Hazel Petti, Emma Pfeiffer, Richard Manco, Antonino Baldasari III, Evangeline, Nathan, Caroline, and Josephine Lawfer, and Giovanni Renzi. “Louie” was also a loving companion to Margaret “Peggy” Rhoads of Hamilton NJ, and friend to her family, Mary Ellen (Brian) Savage, Margaret “Maggie” (Theodore) Power, and Patrick Rhoads and a loving “fake grandfather“ to Matt, Danny, and Claire Savage, and Max and Molly Power.
Lou’s family would like to thank the army of doctors, nurses and caregivers at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden and Moorestown VNA. You gave us so many more years with him and we are grateful.

Louis's Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 13th at 11am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Cinnaminson. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Riverside.
