Louis Telemaque's Obituary
Louis Telemaque, affectionately known as “Lou Lou” to his family and friends, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday December 9, 2018 at the age of 85. He was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on October 11, 1933 to the late Julien Telemaque and Esperance Aurubin.
Lou Lou was an accomplished musician. He played the Saxophone and the Clarinet. He was a Saxophonist for many years in various bands and orchestras, but the one he was well known for was his tenure with Nemours Jean-Baptiste orchestra with whom he traveled to different provinces and towns of Haiti. They also ventured to various Caribbean Islands and the United States.
In 1974, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior since then he dedicated his musical talent to the Lord’s service. He traveled to various churches in Brooklyn, Queens and Canada to play his saxophone for the Glory of the Lord.
To support his family, he worked for Anne Klein Company in New York City where he held various positions. He retired as a Receiving Manager after 30 years of service.
Louis was the beloved husband of the late Josette Telemaque (Ducena). He left behind a large family to cherish his memory.
His loss is being mourned by his children and their spouses: Carlo Telemaque and his wife Yves, Marie C Sajous and her husband Raynald, Marie Irma Joseph and her husband Willy, Gino Telemaque and his wife Joan, Evens Telemaque and his wife Iliana, Beatrice Telemaque, Sonny Telemaque, and his adopted daughter Daphnee Telemaque and her family. His 13 grandchildren: Shirley Telemaque, Raynald Sajous Jr, Christina Etienne and her husband Adlere, Philip Sajous, Lorna Miller and her husband Andrew, Amanda Charlot and her husband Kenny, Jeremy Telemaque, Blaise Telemaque, Andrea Telemaque, Camilla Telemaque, Vladimir Sanon, Sameir Telemaque, and Bless Telemaque; 3 great-grand-children: Faith Sajous, Justin Charlot, and Anya Miller.
Louis is also survived by his brothers Marc Telemaque, Francois Telemaque, and his sister Dalie St. Phard, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The viewing will be held on Friday evening December 21st from 6PM – 9PM, and the Funeral Services will be the following morning at 9AM at the Haitian Baptist Church 203 Sunset Road Burlington, NJ 08016 followed by interment at Lakeview Memorial Park Cinnaminson, NJ.
Louis was a big advocate of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For that reason, his family would appreciate donations in lieu of flowers be directed to them at www.stjude.org.
