Lynne Meckel's Obituary
Lynne Meckel (née Warden) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the age of 92. Born in Hazelwood, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late David and Ruth (née Hayden) Warden. Lynne had been a devoted resident of Cinnaminson since 1962.
She was the beloved wife of the late James S. Meckel, Sr., who passed away in 2009 after 54 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her cherished daughter, Ellen Gunn, in 2021.
Lynne is survived by her loving son, James S. Meckel, Jr. and his wife, Jan; her son-in-law, Dennis Gunn; her granddaughters, Juliet (Ed) Gunn Yang and Bailey (Tim Cumming) Gunn; and her great-grandchildren, Adam and Tommy.
Lynne dedicated many years as a secretary at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Cinnaminson and was a former parishioner of Christ Episcopal Church in Riverton. She found great joy in life, especially in the time she spent with her family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North. Lynne’s Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, New Jersey.
