Magdalena Inovio Guevarra's Obituary
Magdalena Inovio Guevarra, 84 of Marlton, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at Jefferson Hospital in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Born in San Pedro, Laguna, Philippines, Magdalena was the beloved mother of Carmila Carucci (Robert), and the cherished grandmother of Dominic and Angelo Carucci. She was predeceased by her siblings, Engracia A. Inovio, Conrado A. Inovio, Natividad A. Inovio, Francisco A. Inovio, and Felisa A. Inovio. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will miss her greatly.
Magdalena graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Far Eastern University in Manila Philippines in 1965. Looking for opportunity, she came to the United States in 1967 with her best friend
Nilda Saraza. She worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 30 years at Methodist Hospital and an ICU nurse at St. Agnes Hospital, both in Philadelphia. Upon retirement in 2002, she devoted her time to take
care of her grandsons. She found a new found purpose and joy in caring for her grandsons Dominic and Angelo. She was a constant source of love, guidance and inspiration in their lives. She loved to travel to different countries and went on many cruises with friends and families. She loved spending time at her favorite slot machines and attending shows. Maggie lived life to the fullest and kept her social calendar full.
Magdalena will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she poured into her family and the lasting legacy left behind.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Marlton, 398 East Main Street, on Wednesday morning January 15th from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. A Mass will be held at 12 pm at St. Joan of Arc Parish, 100 Willow Bend Road, Marlton, NJ. Interment will be private.
