Margaret R. Forcella's Obituary
Margaret Ramsay Forcella of Delran, NJ passed away Tuesday May 16 at 87 due to complications from cancer.
Margaret was born on June 4, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA to Theresa (Kelly) and Thomas Ramsay. She was the middle child of five daughters. Margaret graduated from Germantown High School and married Thomas Raeside in 1955. While raising three daughters, Margaret worked in technology for the Willingboro Public School District. Her first marriage ended in divorce. In 1980, Margaret married Anthony (Tony) Forcella. After living briefly in Port Richey, FL, they settled in Delran, NJ. Margaret worked in security for Lockheed Martin and retired in 2002. Widowed in 2003, Margaret converted to Catholicism and became an active member of Resurrection Parish. She was a long-time board member, two-term president and dedicated case worker for the Resurrection Parish St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Margaret is survived by three sisters, Elizabeth (Robert) McCullough, Susan Montague and Nancy (John) McElroy; three daughters, Nancy Shea, Lynne (Glenn) Coates, Laurie Raeside and her son-in-law, John Prairie. Margaret also leaves eight grandchildren, John (Nicole) Prairie, Thomas (Jessica) Prairie, Kaitlyn (James) Gordon, Margaret (Timothy) Martino, Patrick (Melissa) Shea, Peter Shea, Casey (Christopher) Connolly and Daniel Shea; each of them enjoyed a special bond with their “Ganny.” Margaret’s 13 (soon to be 15) great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her final years. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Virginia Morris, and her son-in-law, Joseph Shea. Margaret was an avid traveler, reader and student of life.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, on Monday, May 22nd, from 9 am to 10 am. Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am at Resurrection Parish, Holy Name site, 260 Conrow Road, Delran, followed by interment in Lakeview Memorial Park, Route 130 North in Cinnaminson.
In lieu of flowers, Margaret’s wishes were that donations be made to Resurrection Parish, St. Vincent de Paul Society.
