Margaret Leigh Hillman's Obituary
Margaret “Leigh” Hillman (née McMenamin) passed away peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the age of 78.
Born in Cape May Court House, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (née Litton) McMenamin. Leigh was a longtime resident of Maple Shade, where she lived for over 30 years.
She was the beloved wife of 20 years to the late Bill Hillman. Loving mother of Colleen (J. Scott) Baum, James (Colleen) Callahan, and John Callahan; devoted stepmother of Kristen (Michael Gilbert) Hillman. Cherished “Grammy” to Corinne, Catherine, Benjamin, Brenna, Jack, Kyle, and Aiden. Dear sister of Thomas Owen McMenamin and loving aunt to Colleen McMenamin and Thomas McMenamin.
Leigh was a faithful member and lector at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Maple Shade. She found great joy in her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a talented quilter and artist, an avid reader, and held a special love for Cape May Point.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, February 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street, Maple Shade, NJ. Leigh’s Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alzfdn.org
