Margaret "June" R. Armstrong's Obituary
Margaret R. “June” Armstrong (nee Neely), 85, of Moorestown, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022 with her family by her side. Born in Londonderry, Northern Ireland to the late David and Elizabeth Neely. Devoted wife to James S. Armstrong M.D. for 63 years. Dear mother to Shelley Stricker (Edward), James Mark Armstrong M.D. (Sarah), Laura Armstrong Leder, and Scott Armstrong (Ellen). Loving grandmother to Paige Owen, Erik Stricker, William Armstrong, Hannah Armstrong, Caroline Armstrong, Alexander Leder, Katherine Leder, Drew Armstrong, Quinn Armstrong and Sawyer Armstrong. Sister to the late George Neely and the late William Neely.
June was born and raised Northern Ireland. She worked as a nurse at Belfast Children’s Hospital where she met her husband, James. They immigrated to the United States where they raised their family. June loved to travel throughout the world, especially returning to Ireland and Scotland to visit family. She enjoyed golfing and meeting with friends in the All Nations Club. She cherished her little dog, Arthur. June will be remembered for the tremendous love she had for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her cherished family brought her the most joy. She was a lovely woman and a wonderful mom. She will be forever missed.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 101 Bridgeboro Rd. Moorestown, NJ. 08057 on Saturday, November 5th at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, address above, in June’s memory.
