Marguerite A. Ely
(nee Cox) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at her residence in Palmyra, N.J. surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia, Marguerite was 88 years old. She was a resident of Palmyra for 59 years. Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Joseph J. Ely. Loving mother of Joseph G. and his wife Pearl Ely, and Marguerite M. and her husband Thomas Deeney. Dear grandmother of Michelle, Matthew, Jennifer and Jesse and great grandmother of Bennett and Griffin. Sister of Marie Tatu, sister-in-law of Margaret Dionisio (Sister Bridget). Also survived by her beloved neighbors: Terry Still, Joe & Becky Fries, Gail & Dick Mitchell, Gladys Sauls, Michael Cardea, Bob Price, & Ed and Becky Minnix. Marguerite was a 1943 graduate of Hallahan High School for Girls, ?H.A.LL.A.H.A.N. Spells Hallahan.? Relatives and friends are invited to attend Marguerite's Life Celebration and Viewing Sunday Eve 7-9 p.m. and Monday 9-10 a.m. at Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. Her Funeral Mass will follow 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 4th St. & Linden Ave., Riverton, NJ 08077. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marguerite?s name, may be made to Sacred Heart Church Memorial Fund, Moorestown Visiting Nurses/Hospice 300 Harper Dr., Moorestown, NJ 08057 and/or The Burlington County SPCA http://burlcospca.org/.
