Marian Marie Pilla's Obituary
Marian Marie Pilla (nee LaSalle), of Pennsauken, passed away suddenly at her home on November 9, 2017. Born in Atlantic City, NJ on April 25, 1939, she was 78 years old.
Marian is also known as Marzie to her close friends and family, and affectionately called “Lambchop” by her beloved husband. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gabriel J. Pilla. Also survived by her loving children, Cynthia Deeb (Tom DeVirgiliis) and Gabriel J. Pilla, Jr. (Joann); her grandchildren, Eric Schonewolf (Erica), Demetria Deeb, Natalie Deeb, Gabriel J. Pilla III, Lauren Pilla, and Michael Pilla; great granddaughter, Emilia Marian Schonewolf; and her brother, Donald L. Evans (Kate). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends.
Marzie loved to serve lunch to the students at St. Peter’s in Merchantville, and was an active member of the church for many years. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was her whole world and she will be greatly missed. The family always referred to her as their “angel”.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Marzie’s life celebration gathering at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 N., on Thursday evening from 6 – 8 pm, and Friday morning from 8 – 9 am. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday at St. Peter’s R.C. Church, 43 W. Maple Ave., Merchantville, NJ 08109, followed by entombment in Calvary Mausoleum, Route 70 in Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the church at the above address.
