Marianna DiGiorgio's Obituary
Marianna DiGiorgio (nee Maniaci) of Cinnaminson, NJ, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on October 8, 2022. She was born on May 6, 1927, to Joseph and Teresa (Scaffidi) Maniaci in Philadelphia and lived there for 32 years before moving to Cinnaminson. She was predeceased by her loving husband Rosario DiGiorgio, her son Anthony DiGiorgio Sr., her brother Tom Maniaci, her sister Lee (Maniaci) Zavodnick, and brothers-in-law Sidney Zavodnick and Edmund Shiffer.
Her love and devotion to her family were evident throughout her life. She was our secret sauce. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by, and cooking for, the people she loved. She leaves us with wonderful memories of family gatherings overflowing with delicious food and the best homemade cookies, cakes, and cannolis. With her treasured backyard garden, she believed in farm to table well before it became fashionable.
Our hearts go out to her daughter Teresa Walsh (Jim), daughter-in-law JoAnne (Guglielmucci) DiGiorgio, sister Phyllis (Maniaci) Shiffer, sister-in-law Lorraine (Pisano) Maniaci, 5 adoring grandchildren, Russell (Michelle), Ryan, and Jamie Walsh, Anthony (Hollie) and Joseph (Jennifer) DiGiorgio, and 9 great grandchildren. We stand together – saddened by Marianna’s absence, enriched by her memory, and comforted by the knowledge that we will always bear the indelible imprint of her life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 on Friday, October 14, at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church 2500 Branch Pike in Cinnaminson, followed by entombment at Lakeview Memorial Park.
