Marie A. Bornmann, 81, of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025, with her family by her side. Marie was a resident of Cinnaminson for the last 41 years.
Devoted wife for 50 years to the late William F. Bornmann, Jr. Beloved mother of Eric Shane Bornmann and Tara Marie Smith (Michael). Cherished Mee Mom to Nathan, Michaela (lovingly known as Mee Mom’s “Petunia”), and Shane.
Marie was predeceased by her loving parents, Stanley and Josephine Foreman (née Wisniewski).
She is survived by her dear Uncle John Preston; cousins Maria Ruppert (Ron) and their children and grandchildren; Michael Preston (Jackie); Rick Preston (Art); and Johnny Paul Preston (Angie) and children.
Loving stepmother to Donna M. Zawislak (Greg), William F. Bornmann III (Jennifer), Sherri Lynn Hasty, and Kimberly Ann Erwin-Rizzi (John), and their dear children.
Marie was born and raised in Bridesburg, PA which always held a special place in her heart. She worked for many years as a secretary with the Philadelphia Police Department retiring to spend time doing what she truly loved, raising her beloved twins. Later she took on two part-time jobs that she enjoyed. One at Westfield Friends School and the other at Regina’s Travel in Riverside, NJ. Marie finally retired from working to take on her all-time favorite role, caring for her beloved grandchildren. She and Bill basked in this time of their lives. Taking the kids on fun day trips together to the Flying W, swimming in their pool all summer long, and many, many trips to Friendly’s winning every stuffed animal the claw machine had to offer. Her children were more than grateful for the love and support she constantly gave with never so much as a complaint. She never missed a game, graduation, competition, birthday, or school play. She truly enjoyed every moment with her “babies.” These were Marie’s most cherished years of her life.
Marie is deeply missed and forever loved by her family and friends. She was selfless, gentle, kind-hearted, patient, and stronger than she knew. She had the absolute sweetest giggle and the most beautiful smile that will forever live on in our hearts.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 10th, at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Cinnaminson, NJ. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
