Marie Nancy Zephyr's Obituary
Marie Nancy Zephyr, 64, of Willingboro, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2025, at Complete Care at Voorhees, NJ. Born in Grand Goave, Haiti, to Nicolas and Heureuse Zephyr, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and cherished family member.
Marie moved to East Orange, NJ, at the age of 20, where she began building a life for herself and her family. And 20 years ago she became a proud homeowner in Willingboro, NJ, a place she would call home for many years. She worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for Axion Worldwide, where she made an impact on the lives of many with her compassion and care.
Marie was a woman with many passions. She had a love for television game shows, especially her favorites Family Feud, Let’s Make A Deal and Wheel Of Fortune. and anything featuring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. In addition to The Rock movies “ Dance With Me” and “Ever After” were her favorite movies. She also loved reading romance novels and doing crossword puzzles. Marie found joy in dancing, cooking, and listening to pop music, always finding ways to make life more vibrant for those around her
She is survived by her beloved children, Elias Sassine and Sheila Delva. Marie was a proud grandmother to Isaiah, Maya, and Ellie Sassine, and Amari Mitton, who brought her immense joy. She will also be missed by her siblings: Girard Zephyr, Mona Clerge, Yvonne Zephyr, Margaret Zephyr, Gladys Zephyr, and Pectius Zephyr. In addition, Marie leaves behind her loving companion, Yrvain P. Laurent.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, January 22nd, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson, located at 1200 Route 130 North. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon David O’Connor officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to your local church in memory of Marie.
Marie’s presence, warmth, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
