Marilyn Novak's Obituary
Marilyn Sue Novak (nee Bock), 90, formally of Florham Park, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 26th, 2022. Born in Mattoon, Illinois to the late George W. and Marian Ozee Bock.
Devoted wife to the late Joseph E. Novak. Loving mother to her six daughters Georgia Meierdierck (Paul Jr.), Robin Thibault (Gerald), Jackie Keene, Toni Gorman, Jolyn Czerniecki (Thomas), and Anna Zanki (Joseph). Cherished sister to her late twin sister Jacquelyn Newman and her late sister Carleen Icenogle. Beloved grandmother to Terra Miller, Paul Meierdierck III, Jeffrey Meierdierck, Jacqueline Geiger, Ryan Thibault, Michael Thibault, Erik Gorman, Jamie Gorman, Jennifer Keene, Michael Keene, Sophia Czerniecki, Anna Czerniecki and her eight great grandchildren.
Marilyn was raised by her parents on a cattle farm in Illinois and then later moved to New Jersey where she raised her family and worked as an executive secretary in the banking industry for many years. She was a long time member of the Chatham United Methodist Church. She was also an animal lover and avid knitter, who enjoyed making intricate sweaters for all her loved ones.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday October 31st from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Givnish Funeral Home, located at 398 East Main Street in Marlton. Immediately following the viewing there will be a funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. also at the funeral home and live streamed on the following link: https://www.viewlogies.net/givnish/bESxHgswE?pin=135175. Burial will be private.
