Marion Jeanne Mahony's Obituary
Marion Jeanne Mahony (nee Stachurski) of Delran, NJ, was 86 years old when she died at home on hospice on May 30, 2019. The loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was a Graduate of Virginia Intermont College and an avid animal lover. She was a respected Antique Doll collector and was a long term member of the Delaware Valley Doll Club. She maintained her shop at the Tomato Factory in Hopewell, NJ where she was known for doll and doll clothing restorations.
She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Leo Halpin Mahony. Together they raised their seven children, Cynthia (Guy) Fasanella of Jackson, NJ, Maureen (David) Seckel of Newark, DE, Colonel (RET USA) Leo H. (Louise) Mahony Jr. of Silver Spring, MD, Lt. Colonel (RET USAFR) Timothy (Donna) Mahony of Lenexa, KS, Erin Mahony of Reidsville, NC, Stephen (Bethanne) Mahony of Roebling, NJ, and Christine Horner (Nancy) of Florence, NJ. She was a loving grandmother to Andrew (Erika), Nicholas (fiancée Jess) and Vincent Fasanella, Lauren (Eric) Walker, Max Seckel, Leo H Mahony III, Sarah Lawhun, Charles and Caitlin Mahony, Mitchell, Madeline, Mason, and Macklin Horner. She was the great grandmother to Emmett Walker.
She was the sister of the late Mona McKittrick. Family and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on June 3, 2019, starting at 10:30 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, the Church of the Holy Name, 260 Conrow Road, Delran, NJ. Interment will be private at the Brigadier General Doyle Cemetery, NJ Veterans Cemetery. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that contributions in Marion’s name be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation at GarySiniseFoundation.org.
