Marlene D. Volper's Obituary
Reverend Dr. Marlene D. Volper, a cherished resident of Cinnaminson, peacefully passed away on November 9, 2024, she was 62.
She was born in Toms River, NJ on May 11th, 1962, to her late parents, Rudolph Volper and Lena Volper (Schmid) and grew up in White Plains, NY. She is also predeceased by her brother, Walter “Wally” Strobel.
Marlene worked as a Hazard Site Mitigation Specialist for the Department of Environmental Protection for the state of New Jersey, retiring early to enjoy her life to its fullest. Marlene could be found spending her free time with her labor of love - her garden. She loved to travel the world and experience new things with friends. She appreciated great food, great music, and a great show on Broadway. Most prominently, she received her Doctorate of Divinity and became a licensed Religious Science Practitioner, Ordained Religious Science Minister at the Center for Conscious Living where her role as a prayer practitioner and Assistant Minister was graciously appreciated by the congregation for over 20 years.
Marlene is survived by her companion, William “Bill” Brennan, brothers Ulrich “Uli” (Jackie), niece Tanya Powell (Terry), and nephews Richard (Joann) and Michael (Jill) Strobel. Her contagious laugh and love for life will be sorely missed by numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family members, special friends (you know who you are), as well as her beloved fur babies; Jasper, Abbie, and Sonny.
Our cherished “Auntie M” leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace and eternal light forever and ever, and so it is – she is free.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations be made out to the Center for Conscious Living, P.O. Box 44, Moorestown, NJ 08057.
