Marta L. Shears' Obituary
Marta L. Shears (nee Guerra-Lemus) passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2016 at The Cinnaminson Center. Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Marta was 77 years old. She was a resident of Florence for 22 years. Marta was a retired accountant for IBM in New York City. She enjoyed watching baseball especially the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies. Marta was an exceptional basketball player growing up in Guatemala. Marta especially enjoyed being with her family. She was extremely proud that she became a US Citizen in 1994. Marta devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
Beloved wife of 46 years to the late Gary K. Shears, Sr. Loving mother of Dr. Tracey Shears-Bethke (James) and Gary K. Shears, Jr. Devoted grandmother to Mason and Connor.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Marta's Life Celebration and viewing Monday, December 12th, from 9-10 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. Her Funeral Mass will follow 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Riverton, NJ. Interment will take place at NJ Veterans Cemetery.
