Mary Ann Gallagher's Obituary
Mary Ann Gallagher, 74, a lifelong resident of Maple Shade, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, with her daughters by her side. Born on September 13, 1950, in Philadelphia, PA, to John and Amelia Gallagher, she was a beloved wife to Thomas Maiorano, devoted mother to Nicole Dias (Raymond) and Dana McCabe (Marc), and cherished “Doe Doe” to her grandchildren—Jake (Emily), Quentin, Ryan, and Maille.
Mary Ann was a dear sister to Patricia Yocum and Rita Keyes and shared a special bond with her niece, Barbara Lockbaum (Matthew). She is survived by her best friend of 71 years, Connie Allen, along with many nieces, relatives, and friends.
Mary Ann’s kindness and optimism were as vibrant as her smile, and her love for her family knew no bounds. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, from watching Law and Order and Dancing with the Stars to sharing meals and laughter with friends or exploring new places on cruises. Her warmth, compassion, and joy for life touched everyone around her.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Friday, November 22, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street, with a memorial service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Ann’s name may be made to Samaritan Hospice at samaritannj.org.
