Mary will be sorely missed in Lenola. It is hard to remember a time when she was not living in Lenola. Mary always had a kind word for all of the neighbors and would help when she could. Good weather would find her sitting on her porch ready to talk with anyone passing by.

I remember being so young when I first meet her. She looked at me as her own granddaughter. She always had a smile that would light up the room. I was around seven years old when I started going to the playground for summer activities. I would go there on lunch and hang out with my gran. She would always offer me orange soda. She always had it in the house. Even before she passed away, she offered me an orange soda. She was a great grandmother and friend. So this weekend coming up I will have an orange sods in her memory. I love you.
I have so many to share however the one that sticks in my mind and i always tell new moms that i meet. My daughter was sick at 3 months old, tummy issue. I a new mom, i was outta my mind. I called the doctor and Gran would come down to see the baby everyday. We are neighbors. So the doctor said oh do this and that. Gran told me give her 2 drops of kero syrup some water and she will be fine in 24 hours her tummy will be better. Who am i gonna believe the doctor with a millions yrs of school or Gran who raised her own and the entire village. Well Gran came to check on Toni the next afternoon and the baby was smiling and playful and happy to see Gran. Gran said wow she 's better.Do you want me to call the doctor?? Laughing i said you may teach him something. The doctor called to do a follow up he said is the baby better i said yes, doctor says you followed what i said told him no listen to Gran. He wasnt happy with me and me , my mom and Gran just cracked up laughing. Ill miss her. My thoughts and prayers to the most wondeful family ive ever known. See you all Saturday.
