Mary H. Porter's Obituary
Mary H. Porter passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. Mary was born in Camden to Allan J. and Mary Helen Porter. Mary was 62 years old. She was a resident of Mt. Laurel. Prior to this, she lived in Palmyra.
Mary was the loving sister of Nonie (Richard) Steinmetz, Jim (Pat) Porter and Jean (Brad) Stone. Aunt of David (Tara) Steinmetz, Kathleen (Danny) Kolasa, Maureen (Dan) Whitman, Meghan (Darren) Cannon, Brighid (Michael) McCormick, Timothy (Jackie) Porter, Adam (Cait) Stone and Laura (Josh Stevenson) Stone. Also surviving are numerous great nieces and nephews.
Mary received her bachelor’s degree from Trenton State College. She was an employee of Wawa and had previously worked at Liberty Travel and Bose Corporation.
Mary enjoyed going on cruises with her good friends and meeting new friends. Family was important to Mary and she certainly enjoyed and looked forward to family get togethers. Mary loved to host these gatherings and prepare the food for everyone. Mary also was into photography. She was in demand by both family and friends to take pictures at events. She took great joy arranging the pictures into albums as her gift for the event.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 20th, from 11 A.M. to 12 Noon. at the Givnish Funeral Home, 1200 Route 130 N, Cinnaminson. Mary’s funeral service will follow at 12 Noon.
A private inurnment will take place at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Burlington, NJ following the funeral service.
Social distancing will be in effect. All visitors will be required to wear a facial covering.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mary’s Memory.
