It's been quite some time... As adults we lost touch but we were pretty close during the school years. I mean, he took over my paper route when we went in family vacation... THAT'S trust lol. Seriously though, Mike was without a doubt the sweetest kid. At a time when I was being bullied and tormented by classmates, he never once listened or fed into it. He became and remained a true friend to me when I needed one most. Although we did lose touch after school, I still can't imagine anyone having anything different to say about him through adulthood. It's just how he was wired, just how he was raised. When I heard through a mutual friend of Mike's untimely passing, my heart immediately shattered for his entire family. My deepest condolences to the entire DeNyse family, to anyone he considered family, and anyone lucky enough to have known him as a friend
