Michael Guggino's Obituary
Michael Guggino passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees with his family by his side. Born in Philadelphia to Anthony and Rose Guggino, Mike was 81 years old. He was a resident of Merchantville for 47 years and formerly lived in Pennsauken, where he grew up.
Mike was the loving father of Karen Guggino Columbus and the late Amy Guggino Masso (Christopher Masso). Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Isabella and Jamy. Brother of Thomas Guggino (the late Deanie), Rosemarie Buckley (Paul), Angel Davidson (Frank), Anthony “Tony” Guggino and the late Joann Madden. Mike is also survived by his former wife Nancy Storti Guggino and many nieces and nephews.
Mike was proud to be in the first graduating class at Bishop Eustace High School, class of 1958.
Mike was the President of Guggino Associates, an Insurance Agency and Financial Advisors in Merchantville.
He was a passionate golfer and was a member of Merchantville Country Club and Riverton Country Club. He was a member of The American Seniors Golf Association and competed worldwide.
Mike was a huge Philadelphia sports fan. He loved playing Bocce with his buddies at Merchantville Country Club.
Mike was a dedicated member of the Pennsauken Lions Club.
Mike also cherished his membership in the Sons of Italy. He was a member of the Haddon Heights lodge. He presently served as Foundational Trustee and formerly served as a Grand Lodge Trustee.
Most importantly Mike enjoyed spending time with his family especially telling stories and making everyone laugh.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday July 15th, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Givnish of Marlton, 398 East Main Street.
Another gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday July 16th, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Christ the King Church 200 Windsor Avenue Haddonfield, NJ
His Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m.
Inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
