Michael Joseph Kurantz's Obituary
Michael Joseph Kurantz, of Maple Shade, passed away on September 14, 2016, at the age of 62.
He was the beloved husband of 37 years to Melanie R. (nee Podlaszewski). Loving father to his 2 cats, Jinxie and Shemp.
During Mike's working career, his accomplishments in the field of Research Science were numerous, encompassing awards and publications in scientific journals. He received the Merit Award in March of 1975 and the Best Paper Award in July of 1993. After 40 years of service with the USDA, he retired on 11/1/2013.
Relatives, friends, and co-workers from the USDA & members from the Happy Hour Club of Maple Shade are invited to attend Mike’s life celebration on Tuesday at Inglesby/Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street, from 12 pm – 4 pm. A memorial service will begin at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org., or to the ASPCA, www.aspca.org/donate.
