Michael Ott's Obituary
Michael Ott, 49, of Maple Shade, NJ, passed away suddenly on October 29, 2025. Born on July 7, 1976—a proud “centennial baby”—Michael was the beloved son of Catherine Ott (née Mufalli) and the late Martin Ott.
A lifelong “Shader,” Michael was born, raised, and worked in Maple Shade, and his ties to the community ran deep. He was the devoted father of Michael B. Ott, whom he adored more than anything. He is also survived by his loving brother Martin Ott and wife Heather, and cherished nieces and nephew—Alexandria, Corey, and Jessica.
Michael had a quick wit, a big heart, and a larger-than-life spirit. He was famously and hilariously outraged his entire life about not having a middle name, and never missed an opportunity to mention it. He could always make others laugh, and his ever-changing phone number was a running joke among those who knew him best.
A loyal Philadelphia Eagles fan, Michael enjoyed cheering for his team, listening to music—especially Frank Sinatra—and proudly coaching his son in baseball and soccer. A natural tinkerer, he loved fixing things around the house, always eager to help and always figuring it out in his own way.
Above all, Michael treasured his family. His son, mother, brother, and extended family were the center of his world, and he leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love, humor, and deep devotion.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, November 4th at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, with a funeral service to begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ.
