Michael T. Parkar's Obituary
Michael T. Parkar passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born in New York to Nickolas and Theodosia Puszkar, Michael was 98 years old.
Beloved husband of 71 years to the late Florence M. Parkar (nee Malkiewicz) who passed away on January 29, 2020. He was a resident of Cinnaminson since 1952.
Michael proudly served his country in the US Air Force during WWII. Proud member of the Sierra Club and a very active member of the St. Charles Borromeo Parish community. Michael was involved with the Sacred Heart Food Bank in Camden for many years. Monsignor Doyle called him “one of the famous cellar dwellers.”
He was a life long salesman for many companies and during this time Michael shortened his name to Parkar so his clients could pronounce it.
Loving father of the late Kenneth Parkar. Father-in-law of Jackie Parkar.
Grandfather of Zack (Lynn) Parkar, Lindsey (Bryan) Coccia, Cindy Caminiti, Annette (Miles) Letterie, and great grandfather to Emily, Walter, Olivia, Ryan, Lukin, and Riley.
Michael is survived by his loving sister Olga Fitzsimons, his sisters-in-laws Irene Sperry, Alina Christ and many nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North.
His Memorial Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Church 2226 Riverton Road, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077
