Michael A. Schley's Obituary
Michael A. Schley, 71, of Willingboro, NJ, passed away after a brief illness on December 19, 2025, with his loving family by his side. Born on August 18, 1954, in Atlantic City, NJ, Michael was the son of George and Elizabeth Schley (nee Murdock). He was the devoted husband of 43 years to Dianna Schley (nee Wells), with whom he shared a life filled with love, laughter and creativity.
Michael was a beloved father to Krystal Schley, Dain Schley and Tameka Favors, and a proud grandfather to Seoul Favors-Moertl. He was a dear brother to Robert L. Schley and the late Toni Schley, and will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Michael served for three years in the Air Force and was honorably discharged prior to 1980. He worked briefly in Civil Service and later worked at Post Net, where he made friends and was treated as family. Michael found fulfillment and challenge in his last employment at Wyvern, as a Computer Analyst.
A man of many talents, Michael was once a professional singer, an artist who loved to draw, an amateur engineer who drafted mechanical car designs and a gifted poet. His passion for poetry was especially meaningful to him and his children plan to publish his work in the near future. He was also a devoted football fan, who supported his favorite team, the Chicago Bears, despite their ups and downs. His enthusiasm for the team never wavered and was well known to all those who loved him.
Michael was a spiritual man who believed in God. Michael did not traditionally worship but showed his love for God by being a friend to those in need and those who had nowhere to turn for comfort. He became a rock and “safe port in a storm” for more than a few.
A celebration of life/gathering service for Michael will be announced at a later date.
