Dear Aunt Peggy, Kris, Vicki and family,I can never imagine when Uncle Mike wasn't in our lives. From when he was in the Navy, and Vera and I would send him letters every week to all the holidays he spent with us when he was single. There was a time when I thought that when Uncle Mike came he was going to eat all the food, so I would run to tell my father that Uncle Mike is coming, hide the food. My father just adored him and I know that Uncle Mike felt the same way. As I grew up, he was always so caring for my mother and Aunt Jean. On New Year's Eve he would always include them in their plans. "What a good brother!"Through the years he was so very generous with his homes down the shore. I think they were our best times, especially the 4th Street house. He was so proud of it and would often say, "If only your dad was here to enjoy it."There are so many adjectives to discribe him, but the best were his kindness, his compassion, his generousity and especially his love for family, friends and strangers. Our hearts are very heavy with so much sorrow. But, we will always smile when we think of him coming over my mother's house and we will say how are you and he will respond, "Wonderful". That is the way I will always think of him, just a wonderful and loving individual who loved life, family and enjoyed a good glass of wine. My family and Lucille send their deepest condolences. We will always love Uncle Mike.
