Michael B. West, of Pemberton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 20th, 2025, at the age of 61.
Born in Paju, South Korea, on November 5th, 1963, Michael was the beloved son of Sang Suk Lee and Donald West. A devoted and resilient man, Michael courageously moved to the United States as a single father with his two young children, Jung and Doowan.
His love and dedication to his family were the cornerstones of his life.
On November 13, 2004, Michael married Jung Hee Kim, expanding his family and heart to include two stepchildren, Jihee and John, whom he embraced as his own. His children-Jung Kolakowski, Doowan West, Jihee Ahn, and John Ahn-were the pride of his life, and he supported them with unwavering love and strength.
Michael's joy only grew with the arrival of his grandchildren: Sophia, Aiden, and Keira, who brought boundless happiness into his life and who will carry forward his spirit and love.
Michael will be remembered for his kindness, his quiet strength, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives of those he touched and the family he held so dear.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday April 24th, 2025, at Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson. Located at 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ, 08077. There will be a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. during the viewing also at the funeral home. A Funeral Reception across the street at Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet (1103 Us Hwy is 130 S, Cinnaminson)
