Mildred Lippincott's Obituary
Mildred Lippincott, 98, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 14, 2022. Born in Camden, NJ to the late John Mutschler and Helen Mutschler (nee Sheak), she spent her childhood and raised her family in Cinnaminson, NJ. She was wife to the late Raymond Everett Lippincott. She is survived by her sister Elizabeth “Betty” D’Autrechy and brother John “Jack” Mutschler. Mildred is preceded in death by her brother Robert Mutschler. Mother to Patricia Ann Roberts, Ronald Everett Lippincott, Deborah Lippincott Williams, Randall Lee Lippincott, and Courtland Raymond Lippincott. Devoted grandmother to Jessica Dunlap, Alison Henofer, Ryan Dunlap, Christine Layton, Michael Layton, and Geoffrey Moyer. Beloved great grandmother to five great grandchildren.
Mildred, known by her knickname “Tyke” by family and friends from her childhood, loved to go camping with friends and family, and playing cards well into her 90s with friends from her Westfield Friends years. She and husband Raymond converted an old stucco carriage house on Buttonwood Lane, Cinnaminson in to a custom home where they raised their five children. Her passion as an educator of children began when she ran a nursery school in her home as a young mother, then worked from 1971-1998 as a first-grade teacher’s assistant at the Westfield Friends School in Cinnaminson, NJ. After retirement, she later volunteered in the kindergarten classroom to allow the children to practice their reading with her. Her years at Westfield Friends were some of her happiest.
A celebration of Life for Mildred will be held on Sunday, April 23rd, at 2:30 pm at Westfield Friends Meeting House, 2201 Riverton Road, Cinnaminson, NJ. Refreshments to follow.
