Nancy J. Palmer's Obituary
Nancy J. Palmer, longtime resident of Maple Shade, NJ, passed away on May 27th, 2026, at the age of 79.
Born to the late Howard and Edna (nee Bullock) Clayton on May 5th, 1947, in Camden, NJ. Growing up, Nancy attended Woodrow Wilson High School as part of the graduating class of 1965. After high school, Nancy met the love of her life, John Palmer. The pair shared their love by welcoming their two daughters into the world, Heather (Doug) Wood and Wendy (Matt Van Horn). As her girls grew up and began families of their own, Nancy became the beloved grandmother of Nathan, Abigail, and Baron. As a family, they enjoyed going down the shore together, enjoying the warm summer sun and hear the waves crashing along the shoreline.
In her time of leisure, Nancy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, creating core memories that they would carry throughout their lives. She enjoyed immersing herself in the novels she read and listening to the words of Queen and Freddie Mercury.
Nancy will be deeply missed for her kind, compassionate personality, and her love of her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Nancy’s visitation on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, from 10am – 11am with a memorial ceremony at 11am in Givnish Funeral Homes, located at 600 E. Main Street, Maple Shade, NJ, 08052.
Interment will be held privately.
