Nicholas J. Cafaro Jr.'s Obituary
Nicholas J. Cafaro, Jr. passed away peacefully on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Virtua Hospital in Willingboro, NJ. Born in Philadelphia to Nicholas and Antionette Cafaro, Nicholas was 75 years old. He was a resident of Cinnaminson since 1978.
Beloved husband of 53 years to Maria “Kitty” (nee Galindez).
Loving father of Nicholas Cafaro III, Peter and his wife Dana Cafaro, Jonathan Cafaro and Alicia Cafaro.
Cherished grandpop to Matthew and Ryan.
Brother of the late Emmanuel Cafaro and Catherine Severino, Louise Comegys and Rita Fasone.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nicholas was the owner and resident optician optometrist of Philadelphia Eyeglass Labs until he opened a small restaurant with his sons in the early 2000’s. He was semi-retired while running the family business and made time for traveling with his wife and friends. An avid reader and news junkie, Nicholas enjoyed keeping up with current events. Nicholas took a lot of pride in his Italian heritage and local culture. He loved going out to dinner with his family and friends and was a mainstay at many local restaurants where staff knew him by name. One of his favorite passions was sports and he spent much of his time watching games on TV and rooting for the underdog (they paid better.) During his last years he found the most joy in spending time with his grandsons.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, December 21st from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. His Funeral Service will follow 11 a.m.
The Funeral Service will be live streamed.
Social distancing will be in effect and visitors are required to wear facial coverings.
Due to the current restrictions, a celebration of Nick's life will held in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nicholas’ name may be made to The American Cancer Society.
