Nunziatina "Nancy" Iacono, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 30, 1933, in Lampedusa, Italy, Nancy was the daughter of the late Giuseppe Speranza and Calogera Buscemi. She was the devoted wife of the late Calogero Iacono and a cherished mother of three She was a proud grandmother of seven and a great-grandmother of 17, always placing family at the heart of her life.
Nancy was known for her vibrant personality and great sense of humor. She found immense joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, many of whom lived on the same street in Brooklyn, making daily visits a treasured tradition. She had a passion for cooking, delighting her loved ones with her famous pasta al forno and arancini. She also had a love for singing, sewing, and making fresh popcorn with beloved grandchildren and taking them to McDonalds as children. She cherished taking photos, traveling, and visiting Atlantic City casinos.
Nancy lived a full and beautiful life, always surrounded by love and laughter. Her memory will be forever cherished by her family and all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, on Wednesday, February 19, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at the corner of 4th and Linden in Riverton. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Nancy’s legacy of love, laughter, and family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
