Ozzie Vituscka's Obituary
Lawrence Ozzie Vituscka passed away peacefully after a long illness on December 19, 2017, at the Acuity Specialty Hospital at Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro, NJ.
Ozzie, as he was lovingly known to friends and family, was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 16, 1950 to Ossie John Vituscka and Mildred Giacomozzi Vituscka, both deceased.
In 1951, his family returned to Beverly, NJ, where he lived for many years until establishing residency in Palmyra, NJ.
He married Jay Urian in 1971, and they had two sons; Nicholas Vituscka of Haddon Township, NJ, and Jamie Vituscka of New York City.
Before his illness, Ozzie had a long, successful career as a tax administrator in Burlington and Ocean Counties. Together with his partners, he also managed Vital Statistics, his own tax appraising firm, which serviced many New Jersey communities throughout the state.
Until illness prevented him from doing so, Ozzie loved traveling to beautiful golf courses in places like Hawaii, Florida and Myrtle Beach with his large group of good, long-time friends. In addition to his golf companions, Ozzie valued his close local friends, many of whom visited him often and gave him great solace in his final days. His family are grateful for the support they have shown over the past years.
In addition to his sons, Ozzie is survived by Nick’s children, his beloved granddaughters, Courtney, Kali and Payton as well as his grandson, Tanner. They were his greatest joy and comfort, and his pride for them was immense. He is also survived by his two sisters, Nancy Wade of Jackson, NJ, and her husband Frank, and Johanna Vituschi, Merchantville, NJ, as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom mourn his loss.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ozzie’s Life Celebration and viewing Wednesday, December 27th from 9-11 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North.
His Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m.
