Palmina 'Pam' Mammarella's Obituary
Palmina Agnes (Pam) Mammarella 63 years old, of Moorestown, NJ passed away on June 22, 2022. Beloved wife of James P Gallagher. Adored mother of Rustin and Vicki Gallagher. Cherished grandmother of Katie and Ryan Gallagher. Treasured sister of Barbara Stoffa (Gallagher), Edward and Jean Becker, Mary Mammarella and Anthony DeAnnuntis, Joseph Mammarella, Frances Mammarella and Chris Pietrafitta, Susan Mammarella and Wayne Urffer; and the late Leonora Jacoby, Jane Gallagher, and Angela Mammarella. Fun loving aunt and confidant to eleven nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
A dynamic, creative and intelligent professional, she left her mark on her chosen field of Long Term Care. She positively impacted the quality of life of seniors in Philadelphia neighborhoods and beyond through her skilled management, ability to execute innovative ideas, and strong sense of justice. She was a passionate gardener, cook, and traveler, and a lover of art, music, and great food. She sought out and created beauty and shared it with all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her work, her thoughtfulness, and her fabulous dinner parties.
Family, friends, and colleagues are invited on Friday, July 8th, to a Greeting and Photo Remembrance from 9 to 10 am, with a Memorial Service from 10 to 11:30am at Givnish Funeral Home Cinnaminson, 1200 Rt 30 North, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.

Pam Mammarella served as vice president of marketing & government affairs for NewCourtland Senior Services, where she was responsible for corporate communications, marketing, community outreach, public and government relations, strategic planning, as well as operations for the Network’s senior centers. She was the immediate past Board Chair of the Pennsylvania LIFE Providers Alliance (PALPA), was the vice-chair of the Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) subcommittee of the Medical Assistance Advisory Committee, and an appointee of the Joint State Government Commission Advisory Committee on Long-Term Care Services and Supports. In 2005, she was invited to sit on the International Longevity Center’s Panel of Experts to make recommendations for the White House Conference on Aging and served as an advisory committee member to the Department of Public Welfare’s Office of Long Term Living on behalf of the PALPA workgroup. In addition, she was a member of the Center for Emerging Visual Artists Board of Directors and in the past has served in the following capacities: Board member of Center in the Park; member of the Philadelphia Partnership for Long-Term Care Committee; member of the Pennsylvania Intra-Governmental Council on Long-Term Care Emerging Issues Work Group; AAHSA’s (now LeadingAge) Inner City Brain Trust; Society for the Arts and Long-Term Care National Advisory Council (formed by the Society for the Arts in Healthcare, IDEAS Institute and the Rothschild Foundation); Steering Committee member for the Pennsylvania Governor’s Conference for Women; Childcare Matters Public Policy Advisory Committee Member; and the 2006 recipient of the Philadelphia 76ers “Hometown Hero: In the Spirit of Alex Scott” Award.
