Patricia Anne Dughi's Obituary
Patricia Anne Dughi peacefully passed away on April 10th, 2023 with her family by her side. Born in Plainfield, New Jersey to Peter and Dorothy Dughi, Pat was raised in Westfield, New Jersey. Pat was 74 years old and a resident of Maple Shade since 1979.
Beloved wife of 30 years to Eric D. Seawright, cherished mother to Nick (Heather) Dughi, devoted grandmother known as MomMom to Justin Drennan, Charlotte Dughi, Chandler Dughi and a new grandson to be born in September. She was a loving sister to Cindy Dughi and sister Kathy Dughi, who passed away in 2013. Pat will be missed by all.
Pat was a graduate of Adelphi University, using her education degree, she taught in the Camden school system for over 40 years, inspiring and nurturing generations of families. She made a huge impact on her students; giving them time, respect and encouragement. She also spearheaded the creation of the Reading Recovery Program. Upon her retirement, she continued in the education system by sharing her wisdom as a teacher’s aide in Maple Shade. Pat then retired again in 2018 to become a full time MomMom.
Pat loved her summers spent in Lavallette and in her early years, she was a member of the Lavallette Yacht Club, resident jelly doughnut stuffer at Kays Bakery and a Lavallette lifeguard. She was deeply passionate about the beach and the ocean and always held the phrase “The ocean fixes everything” close to her heart. Pats favorite things were spending time with her grandchildren at the beach and fur babies. Pat will always be remembered for her love and caring of all (2 legged, 3 legged and 4 legged!) and was loved by many in return. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday April 19th from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, with a memorial service beginning at 11 AM at Givnish Funeral Home located at 398 East Main Street, Marlton, New Jersey.
