Patricia Ann McGovern's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, and friend, Patricia Ann McGovern, who passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, at the age of 63.
Born on July 20, 1962, Pat lived a life defined by compassion, strength, and service to others. She had a kind heart, a generous spirit, and a laugh that was impossible to forget. She loved spending time with friends and family, music, gardening, and had a love for adventure and time outdoors.
Pat was a devoted wife to Steve; loving mother to Chelsea(Patrick), Dylan, and Eric; a cherished grandmother to Dylan, Hayden, Arianna, Ryan, Olivia, and Ellie; a beloved sister to Steve(Michelle), Terry, and Donna(Buddy). She was also a devoted dog mom to Snowie, Hank, and Frankie. Her greatest joy was her family, whom she loved fiercely and without reservation. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and loyal friend whose love and guidance will be deeply missed.
She was equally devoted to her life's work as a therapist, dedicating her career to supporting others on their journey through recovery and mental health. She believed deeply in the power of hope and healing, and touched countless lives with her compassion, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to helping others. The impact she made will continue to live on in the lives of those she helped.
In accordance with her wishes, family and friends are encouraged to join us for a casual, open-house celebration of life on July 10th from 1 pm to 7 pm at her home. Please feel free to come and go as your schedule allows as we gather to remember and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
Our family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who offered love, encouragement, and support throughout her battle with cancer. Every message, visit, and act of kindness meant more than words can express. The love she felt carried her through her most difficult days.
Donations may be made in her memory to a mental health or substance abuse program of your choice. You may also honor her by bringing a plant to contribute to her garden.
