Patricia F. Pollock's Obituary
Patricia F. Pollock (née Leary), 84, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 30, 2026, in Moorestown, NJ.
Born on December 11, 1941, in Camden, NJ, Patricia was raised in the Ablett Village section of Camden by her parents, Elmer F. Leary and Florence P. Leary. She was the devoted wife of the late William Pollock, with whom she shared many cherished years, including time spent living in Arizona early in their marriage.
Patricia did not have children of her own, but her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews were truly the center of her world and meant everything to her. They were like her children, and she took great pride and joy in being an active, loving presence in their lives. She was a dear aunt to Pete Leary (Mindy), Kelly Cray (Paul), Patricia “Patti” Leary, and Chelsea Whittick; a devoted great-aunt to Michael Doto (Brianna), Tyler Leary (Jennifer), Jen Lussier (Nathan), Ryan Cray (Makenzie), Jessica Leary (Michael), Zach Hernandez (Domonique), Alani Hernandez, and Elijah Hernandez; and a beloved great-great-aunt to Kaiden, Luca, Olivia, Chase, Carter, Benjamin, Beckett, and one on the way. She will also be fondly remembered by dear friends, loving cousins, many of whom she was especially close to, and whose children considered her and lovingly called her “Aunt Pat.”
She was predeceased by her twin brother, Elmer “Pete” Leary, and Bruce Whittick. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law, Ruth B. Leary, who was like a sister to her.
Patricia was proud of her career as a legal secretary, working for Joel R. Rosenburg, Esq. and Barry Hockfield, Esq. in Cherry Hill, NJ. She was a breast cancer survivor whose strength and resilience were an inspiration to all who knew her.
She loved to travel whenever she could, especially to destinations such as the Netherlands, Ireland, and Denmark. At home, Patricia enjoyed horror movies and Lifetime movies alike, had a wonderfully dry sense of humor, and was known for always being helpful, generous, and giving to others. She had an ever-present smile and a kind heart.
A lifelong animal lover, Patricia adored her cats and dogs, all of whom lived long, happy lives under her care. Most recently, she enjoyed her seven months at Care One in Moorestown, where she formed meaningful connections and left a lasting impression on the staff, as well as with fellow residents and friends.
In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
