Patrick J. O'Neill Sr.'s Obituary
Patrick J. O’Neill, Sr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at his residence in Delran, NJ surrounded by his family. Born in Philadelphia to John J. And Mary Elizabeth O’Neill, Pat was 73 years old. He was a resident of Delran, NJ since 1984 and formerly lived in Southwest Philadelphia and the Kensington section of Philadelphia. He was a1965 graduate of West Catholic High School.
Pat proudly served his country in the US Army in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia for over 40 years, retiring as assistant fire marshal. Pat enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra, watching the Phillies, making horrible meatloaf and most importantly he loved spending time with his family.
Beloved husband of 54 years to Joan T. (nee O’Donnell) O’Neill. Loving father of Patrick J. (Pamela) O’Neill, Jr. and Maureen T. O’Neill. Cherished grandfather of John James O’Neill 3rd.
Brother of Bernard A. O’Neill, Pat is predeceased by his two brothers; John J. O’Neill, Jr. and Michael T. O’Neill.
Also surviving are his nieces Colleen Hoffman, Shannon Birdsall, Michael T. O’Neill, Jr. Katie O’Neill, Eileen Lineberger, Joseph McCullough, Jr.
Brother-in-law of Anne McCullough and Antionette O’Neill and his special friend Joseph Hanley.
A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, August 10th, from 10-11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church 103 4th Street Riverton, NJ 08077. His Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m.
Military Honors will follow the Memorial Mass.
