When I went to visit Pauline, she would have scrapple for me (since you cannot get it in Rhode Island). She would also ask Brian what is a good beer that I would like. She was always thoughtful and a great cook. My father and mother loved Pauline as if she was their own. What a great life!
I remember how warmly Pauline welcomed me into the family. She was more like a sister, than a sister-in law to my mother-in-law, Alma Thalwitzer.
They were two of a kind, loving, fun and beautiful.
