Death is a cruel reality of life and always painful when some near and dear one leaves for heavenly abode. However, the death of my Mousa Shri Pawan Kumar Das who passed away on Saturday at his New Jersey home has really made me miserable as our family has lost one of the most learned, simple, kind and great human being. My close association with him started in September 1991 when he came to receive me and my family at JFK during my posting in New York. We had a great time and learnt so many things from him during our stay in New York for over 4 years and since then I visited him almost every time I happened to be in New York area. I had the privilege to attend his 50th wedding anniversary in 2012 as well as 54th in 2016. I last met him in November 2019 during my last visit to New York. My heart goes out to my Mousi Leela Das who so painstakingly looked after him as well to my cousins Ranjana Das, Sanjay Das and Akshay Das and numbers of grand children. While I am sure, Almighty will grant him eternal peace in heavenly abode, I pray Almighty to bestow courage and strength to Mousi and all his loved ones to bear this irreparable loss. I bow my head in respect to one of the towering personality!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏Sharing few pics of his 54th wedding anniversary :
