Peter B. Prominski Jr.'s Obituary
Peter B. Prominski, Jr., of Delran, passed away peacefully at his home on December 7, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was 91 years old.
After graduating High School, Peter joined the Merchant Marines and then became a shipmate on the USS Midway as part of the U.S. Navy. He went on to attend East Carolina University to earn his Bachelor’s degree in education. He taught at Fort Monmouth, where he met the love of his life, Mary Abbatemarco. Peter went on to work for RCA in Moorestown, and eventually retired as a life insurance agent for Prudential in Cherry Hill.
Peter and Mary were married for 63 years before her passing in November of 2016. Together they had 2 children, Janice Caputo (Ronald) and Linda Pfeiffer (the late David); 5 grandchildren, Allison Cann (Justin), Brian Caputo, Tricia Caputo, Shawn Pfeiffer (Amy), and Cassandra Pfeiffer (Zak); and 1 great granddaughter, Emma. Peter is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth Orzechowski, as well as many other extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 N., on Saturday, December 15, from 9 am – 10 am. His funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s memory may be made to the New Jersey Institute for Successful Aging, http://njisa.rowan.edu.
