Peter R. Ranjo's Obituary
Peter R. Ranjo, a lifelong resident of Maple Shade, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2015. He was 83 years old.
Peter was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Elwell).
Loving father of Peter S. Ranjo and his wife Mary of Maple Shade.
Dear grandfather of Theresa, Peter M. (Kelly), Niccole (Rob), Amanda, and Mikayla.
Great grandfather of Hailey, Kyrsten, Braydon, Austin, Olivia, and Sophia.
Loving brother of Claire Hirst (Carl). Devoted friend to the residents of the Veterans Affairs Community Living Center of Philadelphia.
Peter graduated from Moorestown High School, was a member of the swim team there.
He was in the U.S. Navy and fought during the Korean War. He served as a "rescue swimmer." He was a member of numerous veteran service organizations, including the DAV and the VFW. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5714. Peter was a friend of Bill W.'s for 45 years, and a member of the Matt Talbot Retreat Movement #19 of SJ. Inc.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Peter's life celebration on Monday evening at Inglesby/Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 E. Main St., from 6 - 8 pm. His prayer service will begin at 8 pm.
