He was one of my favorite teachers, no make that people, at Flaget. He had a great sense of humor and was a good baseball coach. Just one of my favorite people ever. I'm so sorry for our loss.
My condolences to the family on your loss. I was a student at Flaget High School in Louisville and was taught by Philip. Old Point Comfort College, Va. (1951) to Ave D, Brooklyn, N.Y (1968) ...and many stops in between ... I learned much from my friend. I have walked in the footsteps he me for me during those years for the rest of my life. Time and distance sent us on different paths, but the bonds formed in memory go far beyond those limits. His lessons in "New York Smart" have been my guide in a world that could have being very confusing to me.
