Philip J. Pennestri's Obituary
Philip J. Pennestri, 73, of Pennsauken passed away on Tuesday June 3, 2025. Phil was born in Camden, NJ to the late John and Marie (Aveni) Pennestri. He attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School in East Camden and was a graduate of Camden County Vocational and Technical High School. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He served on the USS R.E. Byrd during the Vietnam War.
He was employed as a technician at Northern Telecom phone company before his retirement. Phil enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, collecting model cars and tinkering with his model trains. Phil also had love for animals.
Phil is survived by his daughters Lisa Marie Rollings and her husband Warner and Patricia Ann Lamancusa. He was the proud grandfather of Anthony Mattis, Kelsey Fuller and her husband Greg, Emily Gesner, Vincent Lamancusa and Nicholas Lamancusa and several cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Phil’s Life Celebration and viewing on Saturday June 14, 2025 from 10-11am at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street. Funeral Service will follow at 11am at the funeral home. Entombment with Military Honors will be at Harleigh Cemetery, Camden.
