Phyllis B. Rowan (nee Bowman) passed away on February 9, 2016 at the age of 93. Born and raised in East Stroudsburg PA, Phyllis earned a Bachelor’s Degree from East Stroudsburg University and a Master’s Degree from The College of William & Mary. A long-time resident of Moorestown NJ, she was a teacher and guidance counselor in the school district for 25 years.
Beloved wife of the late Daniel Rowan. Mother of Daniel Rowan and his wife Rose, and Brian Rowan and his wife Yamina. Grandmother of Daniel, Brian and Nora. Great grandmother of Lily, Hailey and Hannah. In addition to family activities Phyllis enjoyed travel and particularly loved the beaches of Ocean City NJ and Naples FL. Relatives and friends are invited to a Life Celebration for Phyllis Saturday February 20 from 10:30 - 11am at The Evergreens Chapel, 309 Bridgeboro Road, Moorestown, NJ 08057. Memorial services and a reception will follow at 11am. Interment with her husband in East Stroudsburg PA will be private. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to The Evergreens Chapel.
