Rebecca Walter's Obituary
Rebecca Walter (nee Smith) passed away peacefully on December 29, 2023. Born in Deer Park, MD to the late John Warden and Elsie Bernice (nee Denning) Smith, she was 82 years old.
Rebecca was the beloved wife of the late Manfred Walter; loving mother of Tanya Cronmiller (the late Monty Benko) and Charles Cronmiller (Alanda); dear stepmother of Fritz Walter (Dana), Curt Walter, and Glenn Walter (Carole); cherished grandmother of Hannah, Ali, Shelby, Ben, Kate, Will, Jesse and the late Fritz, Jr. Rebecca was predeceased by her siblings, Carlton “Bud” Smith, Clayton Smith, and Thelma Stewart.
Rebecca was at heart a country girl who loved spending time with her family. She was an avid reader and gardener. She grew up loving Elvis and the old western TV shows. Rebecca had a strong faith in God and is now at peace. She will be greatly missed.
Services for Rebecca will be private for her family.
